The S.A.G.A. continues! Join us for our second summer of Summer Afternoon Group Activities (S.A.G.A.) and participate in a wide array of activities, games, and projects! We'll meet every week on the West Lawn. AGES 8 & UP!
SAGA Line Up 2022
All programs are scheduled to be held outside (weather dependent) so
applying sunscreen and bringing a water bottle are both highly encouraged.
June 8: Meet’n’Greet’n’Games
-First day of SAGA! Join us for interactive games and treats!
June 15: Upcycled Art
- Turn your trash into treasure! Explore the practice of reusing and recycling found objects to
create new works of art.
- Have some extra junk (i.e. piping, tubes, netting, ropes, chains, baskets, etc.)? Bring it!
Closed toed shoes are highly encouraged as we will be hammering, drilling, cutting, and
building.
June 22: Dry Ice experiments
- Join Annika for an afternoon of chemical reactions and dry ice exploration! See what
happens when you add dry ice to apple juice (I’ll give you a hint: YUM!)
June 29: Sewing Workshop (in meeting room)
- Learn how to make a basic book bag, dice bag, or apron. Lots of great fabrics, lots of good
fun!
July 6: @MAPS Sky Cameras Drone Class
-"The BPL is teaming up with MAPS Media Institute to bring you a fun, exciting, hands-on drone learning experience. Join us as we take to the skies!"
July 13: Nature Journaling and Exploration!
- Take along a journal (provided by the library) and record what you see in the deep dark woods. Meet at the library then head to River Park.
July 20: Kitchen Science Lab
- Enjoy an afternoon getting messy with science! All experiments include using every day
household items to create interesting and interactive science projects.

August 3: Last Day Water Play
- 2 nd Annual Water Game Olympics! Join a team and let the games begin. Dress to get wet!
