Is your family ready for smoke season? Smoke affects all of us, but young kids often bear the brunt of it. Join us on Monday, July 21st to learn all about smoke, and make and decorate a FREE air cleaner for your child's bedroom!
To explain why smoky skies might mean itchy eyes, we will do a reading of the book "Why Is Coco Orange?" to help your child understand what smoke is, how it might affect them, and how to talk about it! For parents, we will have a Q&A for questions about buying air cleaners, protecting indoor air, where to get air quality information, and how to be smoke-conscious during the summertime.
This event is capped at 30 groups—each group will be given ONE air cleaner kit to assemble, decorate, and take home! For children ages 5-10 accompanied by an adult.
Bitterroot Public Library is working in partnership with Montana DNRC to bring you this event.
